Damn, that Savile is there.
The guy at the end..."You don't want to get bolshy"...with the Bolsheviks
He is in my family.
Njhbvfddfvvbbbgvfff+ccvfddcvgg.
Still the greatest England manager of all time ….
I say what I like and I like what I bloody well say!
After England the only managers job he had was at Birmingham City in 1977/78.
Welcome to Scotland Mr Ramsey, you must fucking joking.
Watching this interview is amazing it's like travelling through time and witnessing history in the making. He went on to achieve great victories and become a legendary figure in the world of sport. His focus and determination on European success evident from the very beginning.
THE BEST❤❤❤❤
How come Matt Busby or the owners of Manchester United or whoever made them take the flight faced any charges? It's incredible that no one went prison for this? How Matt Busby lived with himself is beyond me! He was there manager there boss the person who told them what to do and he was more worried about a FA fine then the lifes of the players coz anyone with any sense would not of got on the plane!!
Impossible to understand Harry Gregg! Could of been a good documentary but they let the people just mumble
C'mon that was a penalty against billy F!
Who on earth would make a program and have that bloke on with the blue shirt and after looking at the footage still put him on the program?? Disrespectful towards Manchester United and the Babes! Just talking complete nonsense! Akso seems like a horrible bloke
Duncan Edwards looks just like Paul Gazza ehen he was young, same shape as well!
This is great i remember watching the Busby babes clearly i was in my late 40s when the disaster happened
Hes looking very very healthy and full of confidence ...Just starting out on his managerial career ......How backward was the structure then..? ,brilliant football mind....He was way in front...Loved this guy .....I,m a Liverpool fan ...We know how hard it is to win the European Cup ...." 2 times European Champions !!!!...Brilliant insight of the football scene as then ..RIP great man .
Wooddya, Thanks for this excellent football series!
Wooddya, Thanks-the trio at last achieve greatness-Busby manages to win the European Cup, Shankly's Liverpool are on the cusp of greatness and Stein's Celtic have unprecedented success in Scotland!
Thanks Wooddya, The boys' austere upbringing carries on into their football lives leading them to regard with skepticism any player requests for increased wages!
Wooddya, Thanks for this conclusion to part two of the series.Good insights into the minds of Bill and Jock as success for all three men is around the corner!
Thanks Wooddya, Good excerpt detailing how Stein shows a unique appreciation of the game in the management field-meanwhile Busby's life takes a tragic turn with the Munich air disaster, and he must rely on his faith as he fights for his life!
Wooddya, Thanks-great instalment! The lads now leaving their unique marks on the game. Matt develops his 'Babes' and revolutionises Man. Utd., as Bill leaves his mark on lower clubs-including humorously his 'doping methods'! Good contributions from well-known faces such as Bobby Charlton, Denis Law and Jackie Blanchflower.
Wooddya, Thanks for this interesting instalment touching on the ties between religion and club allegiances. These played a big part in the Protestant Stein joining Celtic-in this case a negative part-and a positive one in the case of Busby whose religious faith rubbed off on his Man. Utd. club following!
Wooddya, Thanks-the lads start their journey on the managerial ladder!
The state of the pitch back then.
Wooddya, Thanks for the conclusion to the first part of this excellent series, as Matt and Bill establish themselves as successful players in England when war intervenes. Meanwhile Jock takes his first steps on the playing ladder in Scotland.
What an absolute LEGEND.....God bless you King 👑 Cloughy
Thanks for posting, not seen this before.
Good work by Hugh with the aid of John Stalker as Matt Busby becomes the first of the trio of Footballers to leave home for big-time football!
It’s BLOODY FOOTBALL !!! keep your American slag to yourself “young man “ 😊
The thing is and no matter what, they were brothers and loved each other dearly..
Thanks Wooddya, Hugh McIlvanney expertly pointing out how a shared upbringing in these mining villages helped mould these great football managers!
Anyone know the narrator here please
Yes of course Bobby Charlton was upset that Jack had wrote about how he turned his back on his mother , because it showed what a selfish ass hole he really was , and its nothing to do with football. you dont turn away from your mother who doted on you , and no excuse for that . When i read that, my opinion of Bobby charlton changed from admiration, to disgust. and now i cannot think of him in the same manner .
30 seconds in, the documentary is ruined, jimmy saville ffs
Oh my god i saw them mature at the Cliff in salford its like yesterday
A look at British soccer *English soccer
Need to edit and re-upload, minus that vile monster Saville. Bad enough, he luces on in our memories, let alone in such a powerful documentary.
United-Celtic-Liverpool FC : a triangle of pride and beauty . Rivalry and respect and profound gratitude to Scotland.
Wooddya, Thanks for the continuing story of United's endeavours in the European Cup!
Wooddya, Thanks for this great story of United finally reaching the promised land of the European Cup!
It's true Big Jock Stein did take an interest on and off the field of the young boys
Your a moron
Wooddya, Such a tragic story-what a sad loss of life😢
Thanks Wooddya, Great story detailing how a new exciting team grew from the ashes of a tragic crash.
Wooddya, Thanks for this great story of Matt Busby's United making their first tentative steps into Europe and the glamour and excitement of foreign superstars coming to play games in England!
Wooddya, Thanks for this enjoyable programme where the lads try to manage the impossible and name the best England team. Well-hosted I think by Richard Keys who shows an appreciation of players from various eras!
Woodyaa, So many great names being mentioned and not making selection-shows what a hard task this is!
Woodyaa, Thanks for this excellent and revealing behind-the-scenes look at Sir Alf Ramsey and in particular his work as England manager.
R.I.P to all those who died, and also famous boxing trainer Brian Hughes.
Woodya, Thanks again for this moving and ultimately sad documentary-RIP the Busby Babes.
